Traverse City Saint Francis
Council was founded in 2006 . The Traverse City Saint Francis
Council works closely with the Saint Francis parish in Traverse City,
providing funds for various projects.
FREE THROW CONTEST
This year the Knights of Columbus from St. Francis parish will be sponsoring
their annual Free Throw Contest on Saturday morning January 14, 2012 at St.
Francis Gym (123 E. 11th. Street) in Traverse City.
The competition is for all boys and girls ages 9 to 14 as
of January 1, 2012. The Knights of Columbus sponsor this Contest annually with
the winners progressing through the local, district, regional and state
competitions. Last year more than 179,000 sharpshooters participated in over
3000 local competitions.
All contestants will be recognized for their participation
in the event. Contestants are required to furnish proof of age (copy of birth
certificate) and written parental consent (parents/guardian need to sign
registration form) to compete and may take part in only one council level
competition. There is no charge to compete. Entry forms will be available with
registration and warm up beginning at 8:45 a.m. and the contest starting at 9:30
